My kind of fly.

Usually, there are a bunch of fly types in denim but today we will be talking about a few types of flies. The flies are the flap of cloth that helps to hide the fastening method at the front of the trouser.

But almost 3 decades ago when my dad bought denim for my mumma it was side by a button fly is shown below in the picture.

Those jeans had a button flies near the side hips not exactly like this picture but kind of. And that denim was really amazing in look and that trend made a and it’s really easy to done and undone the buttons. So back in the ’90s, this one was one of the most favorite trends for women.and its back in trend now from 20,18 women love to wear side buttoned fly denim.

   When jeans were first made, they came up with button flies. Button fly jeans are the vintage style. Zippered jeans were invented years later. Jeans fell under men’s clothing meant for workwear at the beginning, used by people who indulged in physical labor. Button fly jeans for men were a practical option, probably the only option then. Practical, because zipper jeans wouldn’t stand the test – unzip easily, rusting of the metal.

 Button flies: Buttons are the oldest forms of fastening ever. However, their use of jeans is still a trend until now. In that case, the fly consists of a vertical row of buttons that the person whos wearing it that uses to fasten the garment around the waist.

In button flies thee are 2 types which I’ve seen ts a 3 buttoned denim and 5 buttoned denim the in 3 buttoned denim basically its a notmal mid rise I’ve seen and for the 5 buttoned denim I’ve seen the high rise jeans which start from your navel. So these 2 types you can catch in the women catagory.

For men basically, I’ve seen the normal rises for them with the 4 buttoned jeans

In high, mid, and low rise.

Some good things about the button fly are it is a good way to make a fashion statement. The button offers a good aesthetic value {specially in high rise jeans.}

Don’t have to worry about the flapping

And some cons are button fly fastening, you will have to put up with less than pretty gaps between the buttons if the jeans are a little tight around the waist.

Handling button flies fastening on the jeans is very time-consuming. You must fasten the buttons one by one, which is very annoying in case of an emergency.

My dad said that back in the 80s cowboy loved to wear some chap pants with their denim shorts in that era. Chaps are intended to protect the legs of cowboys from contact with daily environmental hazards seen in working with cattle, horses and other livestock. They help to protect riders’ legs from scraping on a brush, injury from thorns of cacti, sagebrush, mesquite, and other thorny vegetation. Chaps are also useful for other types of riding.

Say howdy to this black chap which helped men look “macho man”.

And now when I was surfing for the jeans, I found out that it’s still in the trend cause people who live in the villages of Spain and Mexico they need this one to protect their garments.

Zipper fly: Zipper fly designs are most commonly used in jeans today. And with so much to offer for the wearer, it is not that difficult to see why people just can’t get enough.  formerly known as a clasp locker, is a commonly used device for binding the edges of an opening of fabric or other flexible material, such as on a garment or a bag. It is used in denim.

Some good things about If you want a plain pair of jeans with nothing shiny or exposed, then you can invest in a pair with “invisible zips”. Now before you get excited about it, the zippers aren’t actually invisible, they are just hidden. This unique ability allows you to enjoy your pair without having to compromise on good fastening.

The con is, The zipper might not work this will happen only in the zippers.

Conclusion : Both the button fly and the zipper fly have their fair share of advantages in terms of use on jeans, although the latter is a much better option with a whole lot more to offer the wearer in terms of aesthetics and convenience. In fact, historically, zippers were invented as a way of overcoming the shortcomings of buttons and other other fastening mechanisms. This goes to prove the point that they are better than button fly designs. So if you ever find yourself stuck between the button fly or zipper fly dilemma, you can rest assured that you will not go wrong with your decision.
